I wanted to try for a five minute post before I start the day today. Our topic Five Minute Friday: Roots.
Our roots are the essence of who we are.
Sometimes they are tightly bound into tight pots and spaces. At any moment when they become too bound into pots, plant branches will die because the roots can no longer reach out and grow wider and deeper and longer and wider. The plant suffers and withers.
But the Gardener is good. He knows just the right moment when to transplant the plant and move it and release the roots into a bigger space.
This moving us into a better place is His grace.
But so is His allowing us in the tight small pot. Sometimes the pot is just the place we need to be to grow, to be restrained and not branch out when we were not meant to do so.
Either way is good. Either way is His expression of love and care for us, and we can trust Him.
Though our roots are hidden and secret, He sees them and He knows what happens in secret places. He gives us what we need to grow – the water, the sun, the soil, He places us in good conditions.
He knows we are becoming and growing and where we need more space or where branches die. And He is pleased.

Love this post on Roots, it’s beautiful. May I trust the Master Gardner and how He chooses to move and plant me so that godly roots can grow unfettered.
I feel as though I have found a gem in the blogging world.
