A New Ebook
I am so excited to tell you about a resource written by my friend, Kayse Pratt, an ebook called, “Getting It Together.” If you are a new wife or mom or an experienced mom who has heard of a Home Management Notebook, but you’ve never used one, then this resource is for you. Goodness, I think even my mom who is single and widowed could get use out of a notebook like this. This ebook shares simply how to start a home management notebook, gives you an idea of what you need to go in one, and gives you the printables to go inside your very own notebook.
Now many blogs have shared about the Home Management Notebook and systems, so this concept was not a new one to me. What I love about Kayse’s resource is that she shows you how to make your notebook pretty AND she keeps it simple. I am not crafty at all, but I have found that I will use my stuff more often if I like the way it looks. Kayse has it covered for those who are crafty enough to have a Silhouette or Cricut or mod podge or rubber cement, but also for those of you like me who do not have cool gadgets, but have pretty paper and a glue stick and rely on Target or Office Max to design you a pretty binder cover!
I am not going to lie to you. I am not the greatest at using Home Management Notebooks. In fact, I have my own Home Management Notebook that I made three years ago sitting on my shelf. I pulled it off the shelf and found included: a calendar, a diaper bag checklist, a daily to do list, a weekly chore chart, chore charts for preschoolers and toddlers, a monthly and weekly meal planner, a freezer and pantry inventory, a phone list, and a list for passwords. Quite frankly things were a lot harrier three years ago than they are now for me, and the system I was trying to follow was too complex for my lifestyle at the time. However, I find myself still in need of some organization and “Getting It Together” shares a simple way to begin, with less places to start than all I listed above. Simple – that’s I need, that’s what I like, and that’s what will keep me on the path.
How about you? Ready to join me in Getting It Together?
Well, here are some great ways to get a copy of Kayse’s ebook:
- Subscribe to Kayse’s newsletter and you can get her book for free! {UPDATED: Kayse’s book is no longer free!!}
- Purchase as a pdf file here for only $3.99. This is the best way to purchase as it contains the best formatting. Also if you are a kindle user like me you can email this pdf to your kindle to read. This is how I read Kayse’s ebook and it works well. But using a kindle is not the best way to get the printables, which are really the meaty part of Kayse’s book.
- You can buy a Kindle formatted copy from Amazon. The book includes a link to the printables.
Are you on Twitter?
If so, you are going to want to join us for the Getting It Together twitter party. I love twitter parties. They are a great way to meet new people, get new ideas, and have fun. Join in Thursday, January 3rd, using the hashtag #gettingittogether at 7pm PST or for those of you in my time zone 9pm CST. 🙂

I am including my own giveaway that you can include in your binder if you so desire!! I have created a bible reading plan for 2013. I will be reading through the Acts and Epistles of the Apostles, and posting additional information here each week on Fridays! So if you want to read Acts and the Epistles, chronologically I might add, then download my reading plan. Find it in a word file here: 2013 Bible Reading Plan and a pdf file here: 2013 Bible Reading Plan.
{Sidenote: I created these with cute fonts that match my blog but as of the time of writing, I haven’t been able to transition the fonts to the pdf and I know if you don’t have the cute font on your Word, you won’t find it there either, so you may want to download to Word and customize it to look how you want! or I will do it for you and email you, just let me know…}
